Grandma's Macaroons

Serves: 4 people Difficulty ': Easy Preparation time: 40 minutes INGREDIENTS 150g. 70g sweet almonds. of bitter almonds 190gr. 20g sugar 3 egg whites. butter 2 tablespoons flour PROCEEDINGS -------------------------- Boil water in a small saucepan, soak the almonds for a few minutes, then drain, peel and allow to dry thoroughly.

Grind in a mortar, adding gradually 150gr. of sugar. Pour the mixture into a bowl, add egg whites and work vigorously with a wooden spoon, until mixture is smooth. Grease a baking sheet, then flour it. With the mixture of almond shaped into balls the size of walnuts and place them on a baking tray.

Sprinkle the remaining sugar with the amaretto and put them to bake in preheated oven at medium temperature for 30 minutes. Let cool and then have the macaroons on paper lace. COUNCIL The macaroons are great served with tea or hot chocolate. If you prefer, you can save a few days in a tightly closed metal box.
