Small-energy snacks with walnuts and dates

This great recipe I recently found on "Oh she glows," incidentally, a really great site with lots of great recipes! These small bites are made of whole wheat flour, some sugar, flax seeds, toasted walnuts, dates and dried fruit. Instead of the specified cherries or cranberries, I used pineapple. Is spiced with cinnamon.

baked in a casserole dish, can be cut even bite into squares. Quickly made and delicious, they have become! In each bite put unexpected energies, a great snack in between, if you look has a little low. Crispy outside, soft inside-sticky, eh Preheat oven to 165 degrees. A small baking dish with parchment paper.

The flaxseed in a small bowl, mix with 3 tsp water, and stand for 10 minutes. This gives it the same consistency as an egg, and can be used as such as a vegan alternative to baking. Spread the walnuts on a baking paper on baking sheet and toast about 8 minutes. Remove, chop coarsely. In a large bowl mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, cinnamon and salt.

Stir in walnuts and dried fruit until well coated with the flour mixture. Vanilla extract in the flaxseed "egg", stir, and with the milk in the mass stir until everything has become a homogeneous mass. Fill in the form, press down until everything is filled out nicely. role for a smooth surface with a rolling pin is best about it, otherwise your hands as best we can smooth out.

33-35 minutes until the surface is golden brown. With the wax paper from the mold lift, cool 10 minutes. Set back in the form, and set for 10 minutes in the freezer. Remove, remove from the pan and cool another 10 minutes. With a sharp knife carefully into cubes.
