Fennel and Apples

Serves: 4 people Difficulty ': Easy Preparation time: 40 minutes Ingredients 30g. 1 fennel butter 20 sage leaves 2 green apples 3 tablespoons white wine 1 teaspoon sugar salt white pepper -------------------------- PROCEDURE Peel the fennel, remove the outer leaves' hard and stressed skin, remove the stems and rinse under running water.

Cut into thin slices. Peel the apples, remove core and cut them into thin slices. In a thick bottom saucepan good enough to melt the butter over medium heat, add the fennel and cook until it will be 'gold. Add the sage leaves previously clean and cook for 1 minute. Season with salt, add the apples, wine, sugar and stir gently.

Sprinkle with white pepper. Cover and let cook for another few minutes, until apples have softened and golden brown. When cooked, place the dish on a platter and serve. Can 'be an excellent side dish for pork.
