Stir in milk at room temperature and the applesauce so when it becomes dark. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Stir in gradually and stirring constantly with a whisk, the flour sifted. Finally add the chopped nuts and mix well. Lightly butter a mold for plum-cake and sprinkle with a tablespoon of white flour.
Pour the mixture, level the surface with the back of a wet spoon and bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees. Cook for about 40 minutes (if you try cooking with a toothpick). When cooked, remove from the oven, the mold after a few minutes on a platter and let cool. Serve.
